This year started off with a major snow storm. I created a bright mokume gane using a light peach, terra cotta, yellow and pearl . I am incorporating a technique I picked up from Lynn Davis where she dyes liquid polymer clay, as well as varnish, and paints that on to clay pieces to give them a ceramic look. The Divas of the Gardens are struttin' their stuff. Gardens have long been a favorite of mine in my photography work. Thinking of starting a new hobby or just fine tuning your craft? I like the idea of renting the DVD because it is cheaper than the workshops with these experts (Taking a workshop with Donna Kato, a renowned expert in polymer clay design could easily cost me several hundred dollars.) I also can watch the DVD several times if I need to review a specific technique, since I can keep it for a week.
